Today, on Ariel's Reading List:

Alise's Adventures in the Undercity, a surreal novel about a Gateless child who finds herself unexpectedly among the Golgari. Notable mostly in that it has inspired Ariel to use "down the manhole" in the same way English speakers might say "down the rabbit hole."

Alise's Adventures in the Undercity also contains the famous doggerel poem Erstwhilogy, which appears in the Golgari section of the poetry anthology Ariel carries with her, despite having been written by an Izzet mathematician who had never seen an Erstwhile and is rumored to have been addicted to Rakdos party drugs.
